We kinda ended up talking about our new family and they made a big deal out of the fact that they wanted to have the same last name as I have so I compromised and let them know I will keep their last name as my middle name and add my new last name with Jeff and Mia as my last name. We agreed it wasn't perfect and we didn't like how complicated all this is but we are happy here with Jeff and this is our family so we are making that lemon into lemonade. I am so impressed with their adaptability. I wish I had more of that!
